Mine is Shum:-
I notice that I am the only person on here using my real nickname as my Yahoo name - my family have called me Shum since my baby sister started to talk and couldn't say Sharon - it stuck for ever. Well about 45 years so far!
My sisters is Lizzie Loo-kins
Our younger cousin called her Busy Lizzie, after a flower from some "watch with mother" programme for children, then it developed to Lizzie loo and one day when she was being a pain - my dad was laughing and saying "aw didums little Lizzie Loo" - I joined in and said "aw didums little Lizzy Loo-kins" - we all laughed and it stuck. Yet again she has lived with it for over 40 years.

My current nickname at work is "Tigger on Speed": primarily 'cos of the way I walk (with a slight bounce that I can't help) and my unbelievable levels of energy - I can go and go for ages like a bloody Duracell battery apparently! Work's well in other parts of my life too, when the need arises! ;-)

Mines is AWOL - as in absent without leave, because I daydream alot and its like I'm on another planet, people are laughing and pointing and I'm just sitting there staring into space! Doh!
Other people I know have nicknames such as Funghi, Beaner, Ratty (coz he looks like one), Feet, (size 13's!), Chemist, Bung, Dunger, and Melon-collie & Cauliflower (twins!)
Also knew a girl called NooNoo - she wouldn't explain, said it had something to do with a hoover.....

My nickname when I was a kid was "Froggy"
My cousin's nickname was "Monkey" He is almost 40 and all our family STILL calls him that! Even his 10 year old daughter calls him Monkey and not Dad or Daddy.
The same goes for my sister, her nickname was "Birdy". We all still call her that and she has 3 kids and is 37.
I had a friend in college and we called him "Eggplant".

I used to refer to myself as "Suffering Blackbird" (from an old Matthew Good Band song and my slightly emo days), but now it's Rio Madeira — or just Rio. My friends are: Princess Brat, Pyrone, Glitch, Random, Lady Baguette, Kord, and Eskimo Bob.
