yeah that did sound biased. Not to mention I think the USC loss actually hurt Notre Dame because now USC won't be undefeated when they play later in the year. I also don't like the way he talks. It sounds like his mouth is full of spit or something. Also remember how biased the commentators were at last year's Rose Bowl. Keith Jackson and Dan Fouts normally covered Pac-10 games so they obviously favored USC and they weren't afraid to show it.
Commentators and analysts are usually pretty good and being neutral though...there are always exceptions though.

Winner of the SEC in the drivers seat, end of the season the winner of the SEC could have two losses would they still be in the drivers seat. If Arkansas gets beat by LSU, and Arkansas then goes and beats Florida in the SEC title game what happens then a two loss team over a one loss team for the title. USC wins out except for the ND game, then yes ND will more than likely get the nod to play for the title. Assuming Michigan wins the game against OSU. If you want to say a team has been scraping by then you may want to include teams like Texas, Florida, and Tennessee. Again most people know that even if Arkansas loses to LSU they go to the SEC title game and if they win it the winner of the SEC is a two loss team, with one of those losses coming to USC. A lot of stuff has to happen for ND to make the title game but its not out of the possibilities. WVa, and Louisville one of them will be knocked out of contention by Friday morning and the other one will get beat by Rutgers.

Yes, Holtz is quite biased, but you know who else pisses me off. Mark May. He has spent the last few years talking crap about Ohio State (including in 2002 when they won the National Championship). He's not as bad this year since we're so dominant that he'd look obvious, but you can tell he'd like nothing better than to see them lose. Argghh. Can't stand'im.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Last saturday before Tennessee played South Carolina, he said I don't see how Tennessee even has a chance and Tennessee has lost only one game by one point and he says they don't have a chance against an unranked team and Tenn. is ranked 8 and Tennessee won the game so he was wrong but it made me really mad when he said that

I need selective mute on my TV so it automatically turns the sound off whenever that moron gets on. The worst is when he tries to smile, talk, and blow Charlie Weis all at the same time.
