I *LOVE* the Harry Potter books and movies too! Don't worry, you're definitely not the only fan that is obsessed -- far from it. There are a lot of us, all around the world, so I'd say you are in very good company. I'm one of those fans that discovered the delight of the books after watching the first movie, so I can really appreciate the movies without feeling the actors or sets aren't as I'd imagined them from the books. I read the books with the actors in mind. The only exception to that rule is with the character Dumbledore because I think Richard Harris was perfect and I don't like the way that Michael Gambon has portrayed him since taking over the role.

Anyway, I've read all the books many times, as well as J.K. Rowling's books for charity "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and "Quidditch Through the Ages." I also like to discuss theories about the books with other fans, and check in with various fan sites periodically for updates on the books and movies. Of course, I've got the 2-disc versions of the four movies on DVD, which I've watched many, many times. Don't get me started on all the Harry Potter merchandise I've collected because it is a very long list! You can e-mail me if you want to discuss anything Harry Potter related because I'm always interested to chat with other fans. I can't wait for July to see the 5th movie. It is tough waiting for Book 7 too!

Excellent reading and enjoyed the movies. Unlike most movies, the harry series stayed as close as possible to the books. I don't think I am obsessed, but I can't wait for the next book.

I do love them, but I don't tell anyone that. I keep it on the dl. But I like the books waaaay better then the movies. They are so much more detailed, and it seems like when I read the books, and then the watched the movies, it was weird because the characters matched the images I had of them in my head. It was unreal how much of a picture the books painted in my mind. Amazing!
