It is illegal. You have to have a permit for that. The animal usually has to be unable to go back in the wild, and you have to use it for an educational purpose.

I used to have a pet skunk. To make a long story short, I found it when it was itty bitty and thought it was a kitten. I was suprised that I wasn't sneezing around it( I was allergic to cat hair back then) and so I took my "kitty"home. My dad got it descented and so on. Great pet, kind of like a ferret. Harder to keep a skunk as a pet in some states then it is to keep a ferret( some states out law them) and anyway I don't got Flower( yeah i know after the skunk in Bambi) anymore cuz he died long time go( natural disaster.....) well anyway.

Oh and for the ones who made a comment about a wolf hybrid, those are NOT a wild animal. They are what are called Designer breeds. They can be pets but they are not WILD. Now a pet wol( purebred wolf, like Timber wol, now that would be a wild animal, well sorta....)

I also had a skunk, mine was named Sidney. They make great pets, very affectionate animals. Lets see. I've had a raccoon, and a pet squirrel. The squirrel was one of the most affectionate and playful pets ever.

My neighbors have a wolf hybrid, that's about as close as it gets for me, if an animal isn't domesticated, it shouldn't be kept as a pet.
