I had a miscarriage and D&C on 10/16...wasn't bleeding a whole lot before it. Bled heavily for about a week, and then lightly for a couple more days. The past three days there was nothing, then light spotting last night. My doctor said that can be normal and that my cervix is healed and uterus is back to normal size, things are going good physically. Today it is like my period started. Right when I was told everything was ok for sex again. I had read and heard that it takes weeks until things are back on schedule. Well, I have never actually been regular..sometimes 4 to 9 weeks apart. My dr is having me go to a fertility Dr just to get my periods regular so we will have an easier time getting pregnant. Not that it was difficult this time, we have only been married since May and weren't even really trying, just doing nothing to prevent it.

It really depends a lot. Generally you hope to restart your periods within six weeks, so your 2 weeks is not out of the ordinary, and actually quite good. It shows you are bouncing back well.

My periods were never regular and my ob-gyn gave me D& C's to lighten the flow in effort to regulate my cycles. I usually had a lighter period within 2-3 weeks.
It sounds a bit premature going to a fertility Doctor being that you just miscarried. It sounds like a referal for profit more than a medical concern. One miscarriage of a first pregnancy isn't uncommon or cause for alarm. It's up to you, but I am sure nature will take it's own course and you'll be pregnant again in the next 6 months without your fertility factors being observed by a specialist.

After my miscarriage I got my period about 4 weeks after my D&C. I did have periods that were irregular for about 5 months though. Sorry for your loss, and good luck.

They say that you can try and get pregnant again as soon as you are mentally ready to try again. As far as your periods.. you kind of have to play it by ear. It's different for everyone so as soon as that gets back on track and you think you can handle it, go for it! I wish you the best of luck hun!
