I have a lighted box sign with a heavy duty banner type front. The banner is stretched over the box. The sign is white. The backside is covered in mildew so that if I turn the sign on, you can see the dirt through the sign. I can get up on a ladder to clean it. I would imagine scrubbing it with a brush wouldn't hurt. Is there anything that I can spray that will remove the mildew or make it come off when I scrub? It is made out of a material similar to the awnings on RVs. Anyone know what I can use?

I would use DampRid's Mildew & Mold Remover and Protector for fabrics. I won't damage the fabric or the writing on the sign, won't fade any colors or yellow the white like bleach based products and will leave a protective coating on the material that will resist the future growth of mold and mildew. You can find it only at Lowes in the cleaning aisle. I use it on my gazebo awnings and my patio furniture cushions with much success.

i would mix 1 part bleach to 2 parts water, put it in a spray bottle and spray the banner, let it sit a few minutes, rinse with water. if only some comes off the first time, repeat process.
