Decorate your house and make sure your walkway to the door is lit. It also wouldn't hurt to make sure you have good candy to hand out.

Even though I see more Halloween decorations on homes each year, I too see less trick or treaters. I have to wonder if there are more group parties as a safety precaution rather than let kids go from house-to-house? It's a shame, but understandable.

Make sure your lawn, walkway, porch and door are well lit. Don't give out things that kids don't like or that will be tossed away like apples. Don't go overboard with extremely scary decorations. Maybe play some Halloween music so that they know you are handing out treats.

You might have to move. Seriously.

Parents don't want to spend a lot of time, nor do they want any worries when they take their kids out for Halloween.

So, the house have to be kind of nice, close together to avoid too much walking or driving, and very well-lit, in a neighborhood they trust and are familiar with.

We get very few visitors on Halloween because the houses are kind of far apart in our neighborhood.

you put a big sign that saids" will be willing a dollar" and then when the word spreads then u might get a lot of trick or treaters, though u lose a lot of money. unless of course u just hand out the money on the streets.

Decorate your house to say wow? I believe your not the only one who thinks this. When I was younger Halloween was so cool, and so many kids went, but then every year just decreased. Kids now adays are partying instead, and those party kids are getting younger and younger. You will see 14 yr olds dressed as playboy bunnies, and partying, drinking, sex and all.

You probably don't get very many if your house is looking a little too scary, or you just domn't have much candy or good candy. That might be the reason that you aren't getting many trick-or-treaters.

Give your neighbors perforated condoms. You just need more births in the neighborhood to grow more trick or treaters

Unfortunately, there are more & more sick bastards out there and parents are protecting their kids. Don't try to attract them, I as a parent would run the other way.
