Normally, the video files you download off the Internet are saved in a format that is not supported by most standalone dvd players. Videos which you can play on a dvd drive don't necessarily work on a dvd player. So, your first priority is to convert video files to a format which the dvd player can read. There are several video converter software programs. Unfortunately, the programs which work the best require you to buy it. There are free programs but they are not easy to use and require some computer knowledge in video editing. I would recommend you try VSO Software's ConvertXtoDVD. The bad news is it will cost you $39.99 USD. There is a free version but it adds a watermark to the converted videos. You see a watermark in the background. It is somewhat distracting. If you want to try it, go to: (http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/)
Publisher's Description:
ConvertXtoDVD is a software to convert and burn your videos to DVD. In only a few clicks you can backup your movies to DVD playable on any home DVD player. It supports the most popular formats such as Xvid, MOV, VOB, Mpeg, Mpeg4, MP4, AVI, WMV, DV and stream formats. It converts your files into a compliant DVD Video set of files and burns it on a DVD media. The aspect ratio can be automatically selected or forced to a specific format. The program works for NTSC and PAL video formats and creates chapters automatically. Multiple audio tracks are supported.

go to lime wire library . then click explore (usually in the center left)
this will open the folder that has ur files.
burn the files with the program (nero, roxio) in to vcd/svcd/dvd format.
some good media players can play most of the format so even if u just burn them (rt click > send to> cd drive) they should play.
happy infringing

if you want to put it on a disc, make a VCD or SVCD or even a DVD with nero or another popular burning program.
or you can run an A/V cable from your graphics card to your tv if that applies in your case.

you need to get a dvd player that plays vcd's or svcd's, then you need to burn the video on your computer to a cdr in vcd format. I use nero and it works great.
