There's nothing to solve. It's not an equation.

Now, if it is an equation set to zero, and you simply left that part off, then we can solve it.

First, simplify the equation (like terms together):
7x - 16 = 0

Then add 16 to both sides to get the x on just one side:
7x = 16

Then divide both sides by 7 to get x all by itself:
x = 16/7

That is assuming you mean 6x-5+x-11 = 0

6x+5+x-11=?

Combine x
7x+5-11=?

Combine like terms
7x-6=? (5-11 = 6)

add 6 to both sides
7x=6

divide both by 7
x=6/7

6x-5+x-11
= 6x + x -16
=7x - 16
This is assuming that the expression does not equal anything.

Now assuming that 6x-5+x-11 =0
7x - 16 = 0
7x = 16
x = 16/7

This can be simplified to:

6x + x - 5 -11

6x +1x = 7x and -5-11 = -16

7x-16
