I know a buddhist who doesnt eat meat goes to temple and yet still filled with selfishness, greed and lust.

And i also some not so religious friends who drinks, eat everything that moves but are still considerate, kind and happy.

Buddhism and being prideful look contradictory to me. As for something of what you have written right here, you state what the goals are on your faith and record all the "genuine" issues that your faith goals for. Are you apart from could asserting which you and evey buddhist adheres to those with out fail? Are you asserting which you on no account waiver or fail to stay as much as those practices? it is what a Christian might call sin. what's going to you do with those sins that reason separation from God? Will you artwork harder, commit your self extra? This makes you no distinctive than the different faith obtainable which promotes the fake concept which you will earn your salvation. Christianity is the only one that recognizes that everybody sins, that no possible be sturdy adequate to earn their thank you to heaven and that everybody needs a Savior. That Savior is interior the guy of Jesus the Christ.

When I have more time, would like to study Buddhism in detail.....at the moment I believe it teaches - a healthier life style (don't eat animals), be good to others-it will come back to you, hate no-one as it is wasted energy....maybe I'm mis-informed, but if every-one adopted this life-style, we would all benefit!

I am a practising Catholic, and feel the need to say thanks for - my children, life, family, friends, health and happiness of people I love and care for. I feel there's alot in life to be grateful for and nothing I have is deserved or owed to me.....YES sometimes life can be a biatch, but you can also be grateful for what you have and not moan about what you don't have.
