the AFC Asian Cup & FIFA World Cup is organized by two separate confederations. any team who won the continental tournament such as UEFA European Championship or AFC Asian Cup do not qualify automatically for the World Cup as FIFA will conduct a separate qualifying draw for all teams. all teams under FIFA's affliciation apart from the host nation must now participate in the qualifiers for the World Cup.
