I open the door to a boy and girl, aged about 6 to 8, eagerly saying "Trick Or Treat!".

They're dressed in robes and look quite Arabic (though the kids are white). Their white mother is there with them.

"And who are you supposed to be?" I ask.

"We're terrorists!"

"Aren't they adorable?" enthuses their mother.

You don't want to hurt the kids feelings...but the mother must be completely out of her mind! That is so inappropiate!

I think "IDIOTS" - referring to both parents who thought this might actually be cute.

And then I think "Are you kidding me?" and some of us actually wonder why Americans get a bad reputation -

And then my next thought is that I would have said " I'm sure all of the people who died in the 9-11 attacks would have JUST LOVED your COSTUMES!" I would probably just say this to the mom and hope that she gets the hint- get some respect mom!

I am truly hoping you made this all up but I know better...
it makes me feel sick.

Well, you've got to wonder about the mothers sense of timing.

I mean I could see teens or adults thinking it funny...but to dress little kids up?? That's a little insensitive and dare I say "stupid"?

I think the Halloween scenario looks sunnier every year since the world is getting scarier.

Shame on her. That's horrible. They need to be talked to about the seriousness of terrorists and how they are FAR from funny or "adorable".

I would say the mother is a terible woman for letting her kids dress up like that, it would not be as bad if they wer fairys of pixies. Hope I helped!

Honestly tell the kiddies, "That's the scariest thing I've seen all night."

That's a good thought. If there was a government guy there, he'd arrest them in a second.

Sick. Exulting evil instead of something posative like dressing like their favourite Saint.

Sick parents who aren't teaching their kids anything worthwhile. What is frightening is that the Mom thinks this is acceptable.
