today, i heard that seward park h.s was a jail before it became a school. and that there are jail cells in the basement.. and 2 chineses girls commited suicided in the roof. is this all true?? if it is, can you please provide information, because i would really like to know. the person who has the best information, gets voted for whatever to get points.

Seward Park High School was built on the site of the Ludlow Street Jail. This jail was also home to William Marcy "Boss" Tweed, after he was convicted of misappropriation of funds in 1873. Though he escaped to Spain at one point, he was brought back and eventually died here on April 12, 1878.
The school dates back to 1929; famous grads include Walter Matthau, Tony Curtis, Zero Mostel and Jerry Stiller.

in my high school we used to tell kids that there was a pool on the roof.
I never heard of this school, but if you heard this information from another student, it isn't true.
