I know morning sickness is supposed to go away after the first 3 months or so - I had it quite badly and they had to give me anti sickness medication.
I didn't feel too bad throughout the second trimester but my stomach was very sensitive and I had to be really careful about what I ate or certain smells, long car journeys, being too hot etc as that could make me feel really bad.
Now I'm 34 weeks and feel terrible - in fact I've felt like this for a few weeks now. Can't even get in the car without getting carsick, feel ill ALL the time, any little thing I eat will set me off, even healthy, light things like water fruit, veg, cereal etc.
My ante natal tests are all fine, no signs of pre eclampsia or anythign and the midwife said some people just feel like this towards the end.
But I don't know anyone else who does! All the other pregnant women I know in their last trimester feel fine! Am I weird to be feeling like this? Should I go back and see the doctor?

some women are lucky and they just get 'morning ' sickness in the morning and it lasts the first three months. This happened in my second pregnancy - a wave of nausea would sweep over me then I'd be ok until the next wave. After three months, nothing!
With my first pregnancy it was a different story! It was all day, every day, this constant feeling that I was going to be sick. Cups of tea suddenly became undrinkable unless there was a biscuit to go with it. I had tablets to combat it but I still felt quite sick all the time.
I can't remember when it stopped, after all the 'baby' was 28 (years old) at the weekend! I think I started feeling better before the baby was born.
Check with your doctor of you are worried, and mention it at your check-ups, but I would say, if they are telling you there is nothing to worry about, you should not worry.
Apparently it's hormones that cause the sickness!

i've had 2 babies the 1st pregnancy was a breeze no worries sickness for the 1st 12 weeks, my 2nd pregnancy i was sick all the time if i brushed my teeth if i smelt, saw or ate something i didn't like. i also felt a lot more tired 2nd time round, all pregnancies are different, If your not keeping any food down then you need to see a doctor because the baby won't be getting any nutrition, and check with your midwife about taking any vitamins to replace anything your bodies lacking due to your small intake of food. One last thing rest as much as possible.

Hiya. Sorry to hear you're feeling cr@p. I felt like this too all throughout my pregnancy and my doc just said that unfortunately it just 'one of those things' and i'd just have to get on with it! The only advice i can give you is to try and drink as much as you can and nibble on anything you can keep down ie, dry biscuits, dry bread etc. Try not to let yourself get too hungry as you'll feel worse. Also, before you even try and get out of bed, have something small to eat and maybe that will help too. Sorry i cant offer you a miracle cure but you're not alone in feeling this way honestly. If in doubt though defo go back and see your GP. At least you havent got long to go now before your baby is born so keep ya chin up if ya can. Take care x

I started feeling sick again towards the end of pregnancy, but I know that I was lucky, I didn't throw up once during the whole of my pregnancy- I was plagued by dizziness instead which forced me to leave my newly found job at 10 weeks pregnant.
It is normal to start feeling bad again.
Good news is that you only have 6 weeks left! You have done the hard work, now you just have to wait these last few weeks...it's so exciting!
Good luck honey.

I would if I were you. Since you were on anti sickness medication at the beginning its likely you are super sensitive and maybe need some more to get you through the next few weeks. I felt nauseous throughout my second pregnancy to varying degrees, whilst nothing with my first, so I do sympathise.

I was sick from 5 weeks until the day I delivered my daughter.I suffered from all your symptoms and I suffered from being dehydrated and got migraines as a result. My problem was over active thyroid. At first the doctors said my thyroid levels were high but blamed it on being pregnant and it wasn't until I demanded a 2nd test that they agreed I needed medication. Since my first pregnancy I had my thyroid removed and I am currently 6 months pregnant. I was sick once at 12 weeks. this pregnancy has been so different.
Good luck xxx

i really feel for you, i was the same with my 2 children and in and out of hospital. I found having a cup of milky hot chocolate or with just water if that's easier, i found it would stop me feeling hungry and sort my sugar levels out about 30Min's after that i would try to have a very some light meal. i did find it helped with both of my pregnancy and with a few of my friends. i was even sick all the way through my labour they gave me lucasade then!! other sites to view so you can see who Else has the same problem and what helped them are, www.hunnybeez.co.uk www.pampers.co.uk if you just type very sick in late pregnancy in your search engine it should give you a list of sites. i hope it does get better for you, all the best,x

well i don't know about feeling fine in the last trimester because i sure don't. i feel miserable all the time now. i am 37 weeks and can't wait till my baby is born! i have all kinds of aches and pains. i can't sleep at night. i have to use the bathroom all the time, and sometimes i feel so sick to my stomach also but fortunately for me, i never had the morning sickness. i just had really bad backaches that made up for all that. lol. i'm sure you're fine and your baby also. there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I was sick for all but two months of my pregnancy. I felt rotten, but my daughter was born happy and healthy and that's what really matters. Keep your eye on the light at the end of the tunnel. In a few weeks, you'll have a beautiful baby to snuggle. :-) good luck!
