having a biology major gives you many options once you graduate. i have my bachelor in biology with minor in chemistry. obviously there are different areas of biology: human, animal, plants, insects, birds, microbiology, etc. Having a major in biology can get you a job, or it can be a stepping stone to move on to more schooling. i have been to 3 different universities. the first i didnt like bc it was super cold (in MI) and all the buildings were far apart so i froze my butt off on the way to class and i stayed in the dorms and alot of ppl left to go home on weekends, which made it boring! my second university was great and i actually got a job (while at the university) working with one of my biology professors in research, which taught me alot and opened my eyes to different things in the biology field. i also got interested in pathology, so now i'm continuing my education as a pathologist assistant. i think the majority of colleges are the same as for biology majors...i think all schools have that major. So I would say that make sure you like the campus, whether small or large number of students, what extracurricular activities, financial aid, etc. is important to you. Secondly, i would recommend getting involved in some of the biology activities involved on campus, whether research, biology club, outings, etc. Hope this helps!!

well if you want to be a doctor you've got to ask yourself what kind of doctor. being a bio major means you'd then work to go to med school, and then you could do anything from radiology to pediatrics. you could go to dental school, you could work in a lab doing blood work or forensics. it's completely open.
