Is it possible to upgrade from Core Duo to Core 2 Duo?

(Without upgrading the motherboard)

anything is possible, but you definetly will need some experence changing motherboards.
I dont think you will have to change the motherboard.

However if this is in a laptop i dont think this will work

first give your motherboard model to make it easy to answer.

check your motherboard manual
if it supports core 2, no problem.
