OOOOOORRR, instead of using a password why dont you move the computer into a room that is easily viewable to you, and then you know if shes on the comp or not... and if she says well mom i didnt have any home work, look in her book, and make sure...i would only let her be on the comp if she had earned time on the comp...

You have to be tuft, homework first the the computer. You need to talk to the computer people if you do not know how to install the pass word .
Even a friend can spend few minutes to install the password but no matter what do not give her the pass word, putting computer in different location will help. Check to see what she has for home work, and then check if it is done before letting her have the computer.

I used to have the same problems with my kids, I was a nervous wreck, then I hit upon the idea of a time table for hours out of the school.
From coming home till bed time we devided time, for school home work, home chores and then computer time etc, it worked greatly and sometimes I even rewarded them by giving extra time, it worked for me.

My parents used to take away the mouse and the keyboard. They also implemented a password on the Internet usage, so if I wanted to connect, I'd have to get THEM to put in the password.
Good luck.

You should be able to put an administrative password on that doesn't allow ANY access whatsoever until entered. Go to your computers control panel and to user accounts.

Make a time table for her. Give her a reasonable slot for Internet surfing also.
