I've had four births and three epidurals. With all three epidurals I got horrible pains in my back for about a year (each time). I don't know if it's normal or supposed to happen, but it does happen.
Let your doctor know at your 6 week check-up. If you've had your check-up already, give them a call and see if there's anything they can tell you.
Good luck.

I had a disturbing enjoy as a little one and feature been scared of needles ever considering. My blood stress is going via the roof at any time when I need to get photographs or get blood taken. However, I used to be in SO MUCH ache (I ended up prompted when you consider that hard work wasn't progressing) that I did not even care. They gave me a nearby anesthetic (only a pinch) earlier than the epidural (simply felt stress) and it used to be a godsend. I were up all night time lengthy and could not take the ache anymore. I had continuously involved approximately the epidural, but if the time got here, I used to be simply so relieved to understand that the ache could be subsiding quickly, that I did not suppose two times approximately it.

I had 3 pregnancies, and on the last birth I did the epidural. I had that backache after my delivery for almost a year. Every once and a while it still hurts...but not often. My youngest is now 2. If it doesn't go away soon, I would suggest letting your doctor know. Maybe they can give you more advice or a suggestion. And congrats on the new baby.

My daughter is 11 weeks old, and I still have some back problems stemming from my epidural. I had to go back to the hospital when she was 2 weeks old because I could not stand the pain anymore, come to find out, when they removed the epidural, it left a hole in my spine and I had to have what they call a blood patch. They drew some blood out of my arm, and put it in my spinal coulmn. It hurt worse than the epidural itself, but a few days later it felt a little better. However, I STILL have some pain down the center of my back.I now wish I had gone natural, but I had a tubal ligation, so I wont have to worry about that again!
If your back is still bothering you, tell your Dr when you go back for your 6week checkup, or call them in the morning.
I wouldnt let it go much longer!

It sometimes lasts a few months. My daughter complained about it for about 5 months. Just mention it to your doc during your check up, but it's pretty normal

it does remain for a while but then it goes away.it also depends if it was done by a very experienced doctor it goes away pretty quickly. don't you worry you'll be so busy with your kid that you'll forget that one soon but if it's real severe consult your doc. i would also suggest yoga after sometime as that really makes you feel better.
