i want to know how i can put a passaword for my pc before i long on in my windows?

If you want to protect your account from your dauther, you may protect your account only not your SYSTEM or FILES by using "Account User" in case if your PC have multiple accounts. If u want to give her an account by her password, she may ACCESS your files. NOTHING hidden in Windows XP. If you want to Protect your PC u must to give a BIOS password.

1. Click on Start.
2. Mouse over Settings.
3. Click on Control Panel.
4. Click on Users(or User Accounts, or something like that).
5. Click on your profile for some options, and there should be an option that says something to the effect of "add a password to your account."

Assuming you have windows XP Click Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts
Look at the options for your account and you should be able to add a password.
Also look around there for an options that says "Make My Documents Private" If you need to hide stuff from her

hi,
go the mycomputer and rightclick on it and select the manage option and then one window will open in that windows u select the user and groups in that left side find the username in that username select one user which u want to use. right click on it and select the set passwd option then the privide the passwd. this is way to give the passwd to pc.

you must put a password for saving your doc. from your daughter's miss use of your home computer, first you don't misunderstand him. you may create a new account for him and tell him to make a work in her account only for his future's best so she took a guidance from you to how can she manage in future how Can you create a new account for her start-setting-control panel-user account-create a new account on her name first for him and then put the pass wards for your accounts. further she gate a her new account you may gate a full satisfaction from her. easy, click start look to your right go to control panels click user accounts and you will get the rest because it has detaliles on how to cerate an account. but this will kill her i swear my mom did this to me, and my lil sissy. all my other family members know it. right now i am lucky the computur is on because my mom is at the hospital with my brother.just a black eye because a chian of acceidents. anyway i am lucky right now. thankful for this time.

start,all prograns,control panel ,user accounts,change an account , create password but DO NOT lock your files
