can you clean your scar with rubbing alcohol? if not then what should you clean it with?

I wash my scar with soap and water. I did get an infection it my incision, but I didn't do the best at keeping it clean back when I first came home from the hospital.

I was told with antibacterial soap only and to spray it on, not to scrub anything. They gave me a bottle and the soap to use at home. You're not supposed to use anything you're doctor or surgeon hasn't recommended. Good Luck! I had my c-section 13 months ago now!

I didn't. I just showered... they told me to have the soap just run right off of it. HOnestly, mine was so painful, I didn't even want to touch it.

i didn't even touch it, i just let the soap in the shower wash over it. i didnt even want to look at it. ewwww
