you would have to overclock it, but this will reduce the life span of the processor. you'll also need to make sure the processor fan can keep the processor cool enough while running at that speed.

see here for whether your specific processor can be overclocked:

well you need to go to the motherboard website to make this determination. and check how if it can support up to 1.9 ghz, or on how to overclock the cpu you have. if your motherboard does not have drivers for any higher speed, it may not have the information in bios to support anything higher. but they may have a bios flash, you can download to do this. there is also the possibility that your motherboard is not designed to go any higher, than 1.7 ghz. but generaly most are designed for an overclock situation. but may require you even change the crystal. but most of the motherboards do not have the old hardware straps for determing the processor speed and this information is actualy placed in the bios chip. and must be upgraded if what you want to do, does not have the drivers for the upgrade. since if it does not have the parameters for the upgrade, you may not even be able to boot it up, without the bios information upgraded. but 1.7 ghz to 1.9 ghz is not that great of an increase. and i would definatly consider checking out just how high of a frequency your motherboard can handle. since you might even be able to handle even a higher frequency. why limit yourself to 0.2 ghz if you can upgrade to 0.5 ghz or more?

You must replace the processor. You need to find out what kind of motherboard is built into the computer, and what kind of processors does it support. You can buy these processors at CompUSA.
