Let me explain more. Im 17. I had my last period 30/9. I am not 100% regular but i do have a period every month. I had unprotected sex on 16/10 and have not had a period since, have had cramping pains like i am about to 'come on' all week but period had not arrived!! I took 2 pregnancy tests one on the 28th one on the 29tha nd they were both negative. I am not really feeling any other symptoms apart from being very tired. Am i just not pregnant or have i tested to early and when shall i test again if i need to?

With a period on 9/30 and sex on 10/16 that would have been the last day of your fertile zone. You didn't test too early, but if you had become pregnant there's a chance you hadn't quite built up enough hormones to register on the test. Wait two days and use another test, with your first pee in the morning because the urine is more concentrated then. Try not to stress too much, since that might be what's delaying your period anyway.

What brand did you use?, there are some that detect the hormon 5 days before your first missing period.

In any case NEVER EVER have unprotected sex EVER again until you are married and sure he doesn't have an STD. There are so many things so many sexual diseases you can get from guys that don't even know they have them. He swearing love forever to you doesn't mean he didn't have sex and catch an std somewhere.

Ok, now, you are more likely not pregnant but here is the catch, some women don't produce the pregnancy hormon in high levels during the first months of their pregnancy. It happens sometimes.

But in any case just remember it is more likely to have a false positive than a false negative pregnancy test.

i would go to the Dr and ask for a blood test. since you only had unprotected sex on the 16th it could be too early to detect pregnancy as you would probably only be baout 2 weeks along!
although stress can make your periods come on late, you still have not had a period yet. so either get a blood test and wait another week or two then do another home test!

i was only 4 weeks pregnant when i found out with my first.

You have done 2 tests yes! Stop worring this will make your period late. Try to put it to the back of your mind for the next couple of weeks and then go see your GP. Tests are really accurate these days. Let this be a lesson about unprotected sex! Good luck :-)

You are only just late so i wouldnt worry to much as this can make your period late, but it is a bit soon to do a pregnancy test, my daughter did one 2 weeks ago which showed up negative but she did another on saturday which was positive. Good luck and try to stop worrying

You're probably just so worried that you're delaying your period, wait another week then do another test if needs be.
I hope you don't make a habit of unprotected sex, because then pregnancy would be the least of your worries.
Good luck x

i know people will say, leave it then do another test, but you just want to know the answer now. i think it would be too soon to get a result. try to see your doctor asap and see what he Say's you are not very late and if your not normally regular i wouldn't worry for at least anther week. hope it all turns out the way you want it to.x

There can be loads of reasons for a late period. Stress is one. If I were you I would leave it until the 10th or so then test again. Try to relax about it.

A first response test would give you a definitve answer now, others not necessarily. Worry will muck up your periods too though.

you have to stay calm first, leave it until about sunday, and if you havnt come on then take another test, if it shows up negative they chances are you really dont have to worry becase it detects for hormons that you only have when you are pregnent, so therefore they should be there now if you are. if it shows up posotive then just go straight to your clinic, and dont worry it will be fine!
