Some are guessing over 600,000 but there are no facts to back up this number. It was based on an un-scientific study.

The truth is no one really knows but I think common sense says it isn't close to 600,000. You also need to separate out those killed indirectly by the military and those deliberately killed by the insurgency

How many have the US killed since bush declared major operations over... less that 1% of that. Mainly Insurgents, along with several civilians and friendly fire accidents
