if its a V8, go with a flowmaster super 40. Its a great sound at low and mid RPM's and really growls at higher ones. You can get a full pipe system which willl set you back a couple houndred, or just weld on the muffler for about 120ish.

Well... exhaust makes it louder and deeper tone. But if you are looking for the true cause of the lope or rumble of muscle cars, it is due to installing a larger cam.

Louder exhause like Flowmaster is not too expencive... 300$ or so. But you say your looking at a Dakota? Is it a V-8? You cant make a 4-6 cyl rumble.... ask all the Honda drivers with Coffee cans on their exhaust.

U can get a 40 series Flowmaster. U can also go with a glasspack or other brands of mufflers.

just have some glass pac's installed.don't know where you live so i can't give you a price but, take it to the car wash and blow out the glass pacs after you have them installed.i would suggest leaving the truck running while you're blowing them out so you don't fill the engine with water, better yet ask someone who knows the technique of "blowing out"to do it for you.

If it's a six or four cyl don't bother. It will only sound like a mad chain saw. As for the v8, the flowmasters mentioned above will sound good.

Corsa exhaust. The best. It will cost about $1000.
