What difference does it make what a guy wears to a gay bar no matter what his age?

I keep reading that men should dress their age, but what does that mean exactly? I dress any way I want when I go out no matter what my age is. Why do young guys have to be such fashion police when I am sure that other guys think they look stupid. By the way, I can dress in leather, jeans, tshirts. whatever and I have never been put down, I just get irritated by little queens that think they know everything about what to wear to a gay bar.

you are so right. go as comfortable as you are. anything else is accessorizing. look at my clothes, look at my car, look at my jewelry, but dont look into my eyes. the eyes are who we are.

I agree- ever heard the song "They" by the British singer Jem? she talks about "who are they, where are they, how do they know all this?" basically asking who are these people who think they have all the answers and make up all the rules? Aren't we all entitled to wear whatever we like regardless of whether it is considered by the majority to conform to the expectations of how your age should dress? I say, as long as you are comfortable and feel good about yourself, wear whatever you like.

I mostly wear jeans, but the place I go most often has a lot of office workers so I try to dress up sometimes. fIt depends on my mood. I am not a suit and tie person, so I only feel well dressed in jeans.

I've not seen this happen yet, though I've only been to a gay bar 3 times. I was just having a good time along with everyone else...

dress however you want, but don't assume everyone thinks you look good just because no one puts you down to your face.
