Is being a teen Father Hard? The only one that can answer your question is another teenager who has passed through the same problem you are dealing with. But, as a Mother,Grandmother and Greatgrand mother, I will answer your question When my kids were teenagers I was the one that would talk to them about the consequences when they had, sexual relations with any girl, or their girlfriend, why do some parents think that their kids are not going to do something that they know is not right..When you are young you do not think of the consequences that would arise when you have unprepared sex, a pregnancy might occur when not using preservatives, or worse you might end up with a disease that would ruin your life. I know how much this problem you got into is weighing you down, you feel like your life is over and that you are going to have to pay for your child's welfare. But look at the bright side of this, one day you will be able to see your child all grown up, and the admiration in his eyes when he sees you are worth more than gold. Next time if you are not married with your child's mother, when you go out and meet someone else please always have condoms in your wallet because you will never know if some day they will be needed. Good Luck to you and look at the bright side that you are a man who accepted his responsibility not as a teenager but a man.

teen parents are VERY hard! Enough said! Obviously if you watch the things and the hardships normal adults go through with their children, you'll see why it's especially hard on economically underpaid, high school drop out teens who then have to care for themeselves as well as their kids. that's why some of their children end up with other families who adopt them because when they've had the children, their lives are turned completely from growing and discovering themselves to being a full time nanny. (driving, cleaning, raising, scolding, etc.) just babysitt and you'll know how much hard it is even for regular folks and they are getting paid well in their jobs to support that kid!

Can't say I've ever been one.
However, most people I know who have had a child during their teenage years, the father's skip out and do nothing. I give those who at least TRY to be a father credit...it is hard, but if you make that baby, you damn well should be willing to grow up and do your best by that child.

I would think that being a teen father is hard but not as hard as it is on the mother. I'm not passing sympathy because I am a woman but when parents are not together as a couple, it's usually the mother who takes the brunt of the job as a parent.

There is no doubt that is hard!! Its hard on everyone in a situation like that. Regardless of age or sex. It's all in how you handle the situation that counts. I wish you the best of luck and try and stay positive!

Of course it is hard. But you're a teenager who needs to finish school. Why are the courts making you pay CS?
