hand out West Memphis Three flyers along with the candy? Of course I would only give to the older kids and the parents that are with the little ones.

Of course I give candy. I want to give information as well though, and only to the older people. I don't expect little kids to know about our corrupt judicial systems. Oh and the West Memphis Three are these people:

Oh uh, the West Memphis Three is not a religion, nor does it have anything to do with religion. It's a social issue. Got that? Social issue, NOT religion.

You can hand out whatever you want, but I would recommend giving the paperwork WITH candy, not INSTEAD of, unless you like eggs on your door and the faces of heartbroken four-year-olds.

Whats a West Memphis Three flyer? If it has to do with your own religion, I can't see the harm, only calculate the effects it may have on neighbors and the community in general, there hasn't been any burnings lately, but you can still be ostracized. But it sounds like a short history of Samhain.. or such, it's a great idea.

There are certainly people who feel strongly about the innocence of the West Memphis Three. I would suggest that adults walking up to YOUR door with their children asking for candy should not feel offended if you ask them if they would like some information. I would give the info to adults only...

No one should be handing out that kind of stuff to children, religious or otherwise. It's a child-oriented "holiday" and they shouldn't have propanda snuck in between the tootsie rolls and smarties. I don't think parents would be down with trick-or-treating being politicized. I'm a supporter of WM3 but I think there are more appropriate avenues to take where people would be more receptive. But thanks for trying to spread the word about WM3, your heart is in the right place.

Either give out just candy or don't participate at all. Religious and political propaganda have no place in Halloween festivities. If you tried to hand me something like that while my kids were trick or treating, I would be outraged.

No, its not ok. They are not looking for your religious beliefs, they are looking to have a good time and get candy or other kinds of treats.
Pushing your religions on other people is always wrong. They have their own beliefs and their parents probably wouldnt appreciate it if you tried to push them from what they are being raised as.

I wouldn't for the simple fact is people don't like to be slammed with religions stuff although you have to write to give out what you want. All kids want is candy.

If you want to hand out flyers, do it the hard way, by going out and delivering them. I don't think Halloween is the time or place!

No-don't do that. Use your own time and day to spread your news. Maybe in a magazine, newspaper or put in everyone's mailbox.
