The quote, "I am a goose," impacts this novel because...

Is everything in my example above gramatically correct?

I learned quotations in 3rd grade, I have just never came across a situation like this where someone is not talking, but I'm referencing something written in a book.

It is correct as written. Remember, commas ALWAYS come before a quote begins and before the closing quotation marks.

then it shud be The quote - "I'm a goose" - impacts this novel because...... try using hyphens, they're less confusing than commas ( to me atleast ) and they leave the same meaning as using a comma so it dusnt really matter which one u use as long as u use it correctly...

I am a goose, I'm a goose..sometime you just have to use either or................
I am not crazy
I'm not crazy....depends on whom your talking to and under what circumstances
either way is correct...

again see your other question - you don't need any commas at all....
