"Deja vu" is a French expression that translates to "already seen". It means that you get the feeling that you've seen a particular person or object before.
There's also a cable station by that name that shows older TV programs.

I think it is this... before we are born we are given our "scripts" for our lives and then we watch it all play out in front of us so that we can discuss our objectives in our lives we are about to be born into. We are then prepared to be born but the final stage of this is to forget what we just saw and know. Sometimes we dont forget everything and so when we are born we go through our lives and we have moments that are called dejavu which is a recollection of what we saw before we were born.
That is my theory and it is better than any other i have heard so please no bible bashing or lecturing... I like thinking for myself.

dejavu is when something happens again. for example..... you remember being in the exact same place, doing the same thing. if this definition doesnt make sense, then check the dictionary! best of luck!

I think it's a "brain echo." It usually happens when you're very tired. And if you try to guess what's going to happen next, you're rarely right. The feeling just fades out.
