In math the 4*4 is done first, then you add the last part. The set up is:
(4*4) + 8 + 98 or 16 + 8+ 98 which equals 122
I am not sure how you got the 101

4X4+8+98=101
subtract 98 from both sides 4X4+8+98-98=101-98
you get 4x4+8 = 3
add 4+8: 4x(12)=3
divide by 3: (4x(12)/3=3/3
you get 4x(4)=1
divide by 4:
you get 4x=1/4
x=1/16
then the equation is: 4(1/16(4+8)+98=101
1/4(12)+98=101
3+98=101
101=101

No that's a load of bollocks. Using the BODMAS convention or BEDMAS? multiplication comes first, making 4x4 =16 then add 8 plus 98 equals ...122
