The Darkness has been chosen as one of the top ten haunted houses in the entire USA.
Open:
6:30PM-12:30AM ($15 adults; $10 children under 11)
1525 S 8th St, St. Louis
"Visitors will tour two floors of haunts, but first a Mummy Demon serves to warn you of the monstrosities you are about to face. Once you enter, you're stalked by evil in the City of the Dead, and savages and zombie pygmies will startle you with their wicked ways. Next, it's on to the second floor, where the Headless Horseman will meet you in the swamp before you can probe the Haunted Mansion.
Overall, you'll witness more than 100 animations and scenes within the maze, and more than 50 live actors are trained to use any ghoulish scare-tactic deemed necessary to ensure that your tour of the Darkness is terrifying."

The Darkness in Soulard or The Lemp Mansion. A friend of mine & his family stayed the night in the Lemp mansion one time & let's just say he won't go back again.....and he doesn't scare easily either! If you want to go somewhere creepy then go to Alton, IL. The entire town is considered haunted. (Saw a documentary thing on it right before Halloween.)
