Anthony, I'm not sure, is short for st. Antonius. and maybe because Italy (Rome) is the center of Christianity they use important name like this.
BUT im no expert, this is a guess but i did learn the facts.

soooo many to choose from but they are the one to pop to my head, i prefer "Achilles".
but just give him regular name, there will be no name problems in school with regular one...

Did you watch Fat Greek wedding movie? Everybody named their kids Tony in that. I always thought Anthony was an Italian name, but Greeks seem to use it excessively.

okay... there's always Argie or Argiero (yes, its greek..... and it means Silver) or u cud name ur child Athena (my fav. name considering she was the goddess of wisdom and she had a really diff. perspective of the world and is greatly respected) as for sons .... i can't come up with anything good....
