Does anyone know which organisation would offer help and support to an ex- soldier. My partner was medically discharged and has had no support over the last few years . I was just wondering if there are any charities or agencies that we are unaware of. Any info would be great!!

There are quite a few agencies out there that deal with ex forces, all of which should have been made known to your partner on discharge. The main one is the Royal British Legion, i quote 'caring and campaigning for our ex service community'. They can be found at http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/ or by calling 'legionline' on 08457 725 725. Another agency you should try is SSAFA, who can be found at http://www.ssafa.org.uk/index.asp or by calling 0845 1300 975. I wish you and your partner well in your quest. An ex soldier.

The Veteran's Administration (VA) is in place to help all veterans, and if he was medically discharged, he should qualify for all of the benefits they offer. There are also organizations like the VFW, and wounded warrior charities that help.
