That is,if she's found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.Or would the U.S. judicial system deem it too harsh because she's a woman. There seems to be more and more stories of women(in the United States, anyway) killing children, especially their own.

Yes, definately why not. I am a firm believer of equality. If a man gets the death penalty for killing a child then so should a woman.I believe in an eye for an eye. You take a life and you should lose yours, especially when it is an innocent child. That is ofcourse if there is no doubt that you actually committed the crime but the same goes for men. Why should tax payers have to pay to keep these cruel murderers. The justice system is sometimes just a joke, some people seem to get more time for drug dealing than murder. Hope l have helped.

First of all mr.wise.This is not a subject you joke about. It depends on what state you are in. GW took a lot of heat for exacuting a women. The laws of your state schould be inforced with out care of gender. Some states have a death penalty but the liberal juries never use it. I can still remember The Willie Horton storie from Mass.. If willie had been put to death instead of given a weekend pass, two people would be alive today. I am a Christain who believes in the bible. An eye for a eye, A tooth for a tooth. You murder someone, you forfit your life. That is one thing that I agree on with the Muslims. They dont have a dozen appeals. They sentice you to death ( a court sentice not terriust) they carrey it out real fast. How many people do we support in prison who have a death sentice for 20 to 25 years at $ 25,000 a year. You also pay for their appeals.YOU murder YOU die Male or FEMALE.

for my area the punishment ought to certainly in good condition the crime, yet I doubt you will see the loss of existence penalty imposed as a effect. by way of the time this occasion is going to courtroom the criminal experts will discover some underlying mania or psychological sickness on which to base a sympathy protection. the belief of killing slightly one is offensive to maximum, no depend what the circumstances, yet once you seem at circumstances with parallels to this one the place mothers kill their infants the loss of existence penalty on no account comes into play. If she became under the impact of alcohol while the crime became committed maximum possibly we are able to be sure a protection of alcoholism as a ailment and how alcoholics are actually not fairly in charge for his or her strikes on the same time as intoxicated.

Yes, I am a firm believer of the death death penalty. Who cares if she is a woman? She is still guilty and should be treated as such. Also, we cant be having all these women rotting in jail while the tax-payers have to pay to keep them in good condition. All the money that goes to correctional facilities comes from the pockets of the American people. I don't want to pay that.

well I'm sure men have been given the death penalty for the same reason but if a women has killed her own child then there must be something wrong with her because she would not do it because she has no heart just no brain.

absolutely. if anyone kills anyone they should get the death penalty. i think that they should be put in general population in the prison system for a while before they are put to death so that that the other inmates have a shot at them too. even in the criminal mind, when people assalt and harm kids, they automatically go to the bottom of the ladder in the prison system

Well, it kind of depends on how she killed the child. Depending on what degree of murder she is charged with, she may not get the death penalty, or might get the maximum allowed time in prison. Regardless of gender, all should have to answer to the law, no matter what the crime is.

Well it does not matter if she is a woman everyone should be treated equally("every man is created equally..."). if she is found guily in the cort of law than she should get the death penalty because she has done a first degree murder.

I am against the death penalty. I am for life without parole, with just a cot, sink and toilet, and limitations on the amount of reading material.
