I need ideas for a Christmas parade float for the animal shelter I work for?

We need to keep with this year's parade theme of Hollywood's Golden Years, while connecting it to our animal shelter. Any ideas for how to decorate?

Yeah - famous movie animals - real (Lassie, Roy Rogers' Trigger etc.) and animated (Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry).
