When you have kids old enough to trick or treat without you. That's when you're too old to trick or treat. I'm twenty-something and i still trick or treat. I figure, when I have kids, I'll trick or treat with them. Once they are old enough to trick or treat without me (when they're old enough to do it alone) then I'll be too old.

16, unless they're taking little kids around with them. If you're old enough to drive, stop trick or treating.

I am 31. I went trick or treating with one of my kid's last night, and thoroughly enjoyed the candy. you are never too old for trick or treating unless you just don't like to have fun.

The truth is I went until I was 12 and when I rang the door bell the kids from my class recognized me and said, "You're too old!" So I got shamed out of it otherwise I'd still be going.

Roughly at puberty.

I really dislike teenage trick-or-treaters. Leave this part of the holiday for the little ones, ok?
