I first heard the song crazy by gnarls barkley a month ago and i know its my favorite song of all time or at least in a three way tie with stairway to heaven- behind blue eyes and little sister but i wish there more singers and songs like gnarls and his song, he sounds old school and thats what i like...being christian i cant stand rap anymore its all about sex and rape and murder and materialism all things that dont matter in Gods eyes....So why is he one of the only singers to produce these great songs...i think that usher is kinda in the middle of rap and what i like..he would be the closest to gnarls..if you havent seen the song go here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3D4_ljnjqo

Have you ever listened to Common, the Roots, Mos Def or Talib Kweli that talk about positive things and make positive music? There are also Christian rap groups like Grits. If you search you can find because not all rap is misogynistic, violent and materialistic. There are some good groups out there just take the time to listen. Just a note, Gnarls Barkley is Cee-Lo from the group Goodie Mob which does not have the cleanest music you've ever heard; don't get me wrong it's good music but research the stuff.

That's a really good point. I guess when the music industry realizes how much we long to hear good music by an artist that can think of better things to sing about than the stereo typical rap songs, we will see more artist like Gnarls Barkley. It seems to me that music is always changing in one form or another, but it seems rap stays the same. I too hope to hear more artists like him!!!!
