Alexander the Great....he conquered a hell of a lot more than Achilles did. Achilles only was a hero of one battle, Troy. Alexander the Great put Greece ont he map so to speak.

I'd say Alexander the Great. Achilles was a great warrior, but we don't really know if he could command vast troops. Alexander, on the other hand, was a planner and a commander. He may not have had the skills to go toe to toe with an enemy (like Achilles did) but he could command his troops to attack and could come up with great strategies.

In terms of sheer power & scope of reach, that would have to be Alexander The Great. Although I must admit that I'm very fond of Achilles personally.

The entire narrative of Achilles is , from a physical perspective, he is a full blooded super human. That being said, Troy and her army would have fallen years before if they were having to fight Alexander n his Macedonians...

I think Alexander the great was better. He had conquered a vast amount of land and did it as civil as possible. Of course he used war methods but his methods werent as gruesome as the Saxons. He treated his prisoners as humans and he tried to unite not only lands but cultures as well. Pity he died when he died, everything collapsed then.

Alexander. So young and such a strategist. Such ambition. Such vision. And he left a mark-he spread the Greek language and culture far and wide for that time. Too bad his life was cut short. Amazing man, interesting mind. You got to admire that in a guy.
