A) Extremely strict and overprotective. They never let you do anything. It sucks.
B) Totally lenient. They let you do whatever you want and they don't care. They rock.
C) A healthy balance of lenience and discipline. They're moderate.
D) Naggers. They will NOT get off your case. It sucks.

F: I am a grown adult now but my parents were never parents to me. They let me do what I wanted and never supported me in anything. If you have parents that even acknowledge that you exist than you are ahead of the game. Believe me, what you feel is torture right now will be a gift in the future.

Mostly C. with a little A mixed in, if that makes any sense. I was kinda sheltered thru most of high school, but the relaxed a little after. Being an only child is tough because you don't have any previous or subsequent siblings to compare situations to or alter notions about.

E. My parents are dead. They've been deceased since I was seven years old. And I would count my blessings if I was able to answer this question with any of the other options put forth. Those traits can all be worked with & build relationships up with.

You could have left out the editorial opinion. Makes you sound like you're selfish, self-involved and have a huge amount of growing up to do.
My father was a pedophile and my mother ignored it. But I've seen worse. 'Nuff said.

Mine were "C". They were my friends, but they were parents first. I'm almost 30 and I still have a great relationship with both of them.
