I got a bracelet for a gift and I need an extender but I don't know what the fastener is called. It's not a lobster claw or a pole and hole. it has a flat hook that slides into the other end of the bracelet with a metal loop that hooks over a ball on the other end. A regular hook and eye kind of extender won't work as it has to have a slot for the fastener to slide into and lock. Any ideas what this type of fastener is called (it's a knock-off of a tennis bracelet if that helps). thanks for serious answers only as I really want to get an extender.

It's not a fold over clasp as it doesn't clip onto another piece; it slides into a slot on the other end of the bracelet and kind of clips in there.

i don't know the name but you may have to go to a jeweler - or... if you go to a place that has costume jewelery making 'stuff' maybe you can find one there....

I don't know what it's called, but I know exactly what you're talking about. Just take the bracelet with you to a jeweler and you can get an extender custom made in exactly the style and length that you need.
