arlo never said "kiss my grits"
in fact i doubt they even served grits at alice's restaurant, but alice's restaurant wasn't the name of the restaurant.........
arlo actually owns the church now that alice and ray used to live in that is talked about in the song and featured in the movie. he recorded the Alice's Restaurant Revisted record there. check out that version of the song. funny new verse about nixon and the carter presidency. funny stuff.
