Even well known singers such as Barbara Streisand still suffer from stage fright...I have sung in front of crowds of up to 200 people and I have MAD stage fright!!! What you have to do is perform for yourself. What I mean is pretend they aren't there and you and the band are just jamming...you get used to having fun with it rather than working at it, it will eventually become a more natural feeling, although it may not go away for good.

Yes. I am a recording artist and I'm in a band called The Kreeps, before that, "Electric" Bill and the Meter-Men, and before that I traveled with the great Jelly Jam Jar Johnson. I've been doing this since I was 10 (I'm 27 now).
It sounds corny, but imagine everyone naked, better yet, picture a crowd of naked Natalie Portmans.

That imagining people are in their underwear thing does NOT WORK...but the best thing to do is be yourself; if you're meant to be on stage, people will take notice, but they will also tell you if you're not. Take it all in stride, no ego when they say you're really good, but no low self-esteem when they tell you every single thing you've done wrong. Be confident, because that is something you cannot fake.

i don't want to make fun of you, but your spelling is a little off. i've never had trouble talking in front of large groups of people, and i have a decent voice, so i was elected lead singer of our rock band. we haven't played a gig yet though, so i dunno. i guess you just ignore the people, just do you thing, unless it involves crowd interaction. then just figuire it out.
