If I can remember seeing the speedometer, it went around 80-85 mph

It had to reach 88 MPH to time travel but then it probably approached or surpassed light speed to travel through time - but an object can't reach light speed because it would become infinitely heavy - but maybe Doc Brown solved that problem.
