are you and a partner trying to find one that you both agree on? that can be hard to accomplish, do you have baby books with names and their meanings? they are often very helpful in name choosing. just remember to pick a name that a child/person can live with. it is difficult to have an unusual name, that no teacher can pronounce, or one that is spelled different enough that your child's name is misread/missaid by many, and also misspelled. your child will have the name a lifetime, so give them one they can live with, if i was a boy i wouldn't want to be called gaylord, or shirly, or if a girl, i wouldn't want to be unis, or agatha. what do you think your child would like as a young person in school, a name that dosen't draw negative attention, or one that is somewhat normal? are their any family names that you like? used to be that women named their babies middle or first name with their maiden names, ok if it was kennedy, or coleman, or hunter. so that can be good or bad. just an idea. keep looking, and if there is an agreement, great! but since you are giving birth, you should have the final say, mom. the middle name is park?, must be a family name? make sure you say all 3 names together, that they flow., also pay attention to initials, like if the initials were p.p.u. there is usually always something to put your initials on, in grade school and up. so your first name probably shouldn't start with p? UHHUH. here's a shot for fun,, emily park then last name. say your choices outloud to see how they sound .

Laura Elizabeth
I wanted to name my daughter after my favorite author, Laura Elizabeth Ingalls Wilder. My late husband vetoed it.
My daughter, Heather (which is a flower, by the way, in case you didn't know... Some people out here didn't know that.), is pregnant with her first and if it were to be a girl, she would have named it Jasmine Rose. In my opinion, it was all just "too flowery". Luckily it's a boy and he'll be named after his father and late grandfather.
Do you have a favorite singer or author, old friend, or even a belated family member you'd like to see have their name passed on? Whatever you name the child, just remember, YOU might think the name is fine, but the child is the one who has to *live with it*!

That choice is totally up to you! Just make sure the name you chose is one that you'll like in a few years and not just a passing phase. Also, make sure it doesnt rhyme with the surname or isn't going to cause too much embarassment at school! Kids can be nasty! For ideas 'Google' childrens names, loads of web sites will come up and they'll give you the meanings too... Hope everything goes smoothly and you have an uncomplicated birth xx

We chose Rose Catrin Angharad for a girl (Catrin is Welsh for Katherine and Angharad is a traditional Welsh name). But we're having a boy. He'll be Arthur David William.
