My 89 XJS (for sale by the way) has a radiator bleed bolt on the drivers side top of the radiator. The manual says to warm it up, loosen the bolt, and wait for the air to finish coming out. Might be worth a try.

Believe it or not but Jaguar motors are made by Ford.Top off the radiator fluid that should take care of the problem.Fords do the same thing.

Sometimes air entrapped in the heater core will cause this if the system has not been properly burped, no kidding. As long as it is not leaking you have no worries.
