I like Emo and all different kinds of Punk!!! Emo is just a small part of today's "punk music" and i does not ruin the youth (or whatever that other person said) I think a lot of Punk/Pop artist have a good sense of music and talent bands like Thursday, Starting Line, Saves the Day, AFI and MCR and whatever else people think is emo all have their own feel and are still good musicians and just b/c people classify them as emo doesnt mean anything its all opinion b/c Pearl Jam (great band) very "emotional" and depressing so would that make them Emo today?

No - Emo seems to be nothing but cookie-cutter music for the waster youth of this generation. There is no underlining movement with Emo as there has been with other music genres of the past.
Emo is a passe way of being a trendy goth for the hot topic hitters of the world.

No band actually titles themselves as emo. Let me rephrase that. No good band titles themselves as emo (My Chemical Romance bites). I like some bands that people might call emo, because of their lyrics, looks or style.
Silverstein/Underoath/Funeral For A Friend/HIM. All bands classified as emo. But the real definition of emo is emotional right? Isn't emotions ussually the main topic of every song?
