Wow, I'm surprised at some of the answers so far, this doesn't have to turn into a Republican or 'redneck' bashing...that just speaks of your stereotyping.
This is about if you aren't doing something constructive and you just want to bash America (as a whole, the good and the bad because you have to take both), why are you still here?

It seems like the word America is now synonymous with anything goes the way I want it. Those who allow themselves to be subjugated by others have no real leaders because the 14th amendment is the excuse all the elect hide behind. They say it takes money to make money, and I would not doubt this saying at all. But in America you must have money and influence to get your way. This is why people will not leave, a stake in power in influence they seek after. Those who meekly seek after a kings mercy wont find it as the 14th bows down to no one, but the dollar sign. So until you become subjugated by someone you naively think is beneath you, just remember what you have worked for and how hard you tried sustain your desired way of life before you think someone else does not deserve their chance to at least try what they desire. Their was never a perfect America and it will probably never be that way. These so called anti American people are not leaving so just go do something nice for yourself and dwell on what is good for you, as long as that may last.

Because America wasn't made so everyone could agree with it 100%.

There's a difference between government of America and America the country.

The government is only as strong as the people who run it. And therefore one can dislike the government but love the country or hate the country and love the government or anything like that.

I hate George Bush but love America, I'm not leaving.

You are no doubt confusing a person who "dislikes" America from a person who dislikes the direction that the current Republican controlled government is trying to move this country.

I love my country - but I think what the Bush Administration & Republican Congress have done is extremely destructive to this country over the long haul.

Here's an analogy I like to use.......let's say you have a car that you love. One day, your uncle, who is drunk out of his mind, steals your keys & starts driving your beloved car around like a total maniac.

You still love the car........but you want to get your drunk uncle out of the driver's seat as soon as possible - because you know what he's doing with your car is detrimental to that car's health!

To me, the U.S.A. is like that car........the current administration & Congress is like that drunk uncle.

This is my country, too - and it's your country too. Neither of us need to leave.

Because you are not allowed to have open discontent for your government in many other countries. The American political environment requires different parties that often have disputing ideals. Freedom means that ordinary citizens can participate in the disputes. Like it or not, that is the country we live in.

They tried to, it was called the civil war. the point of America is you can change it if enough people think it should be. What if this argument was used during civil rights, voting rights, etc?

There is a big difference between disliking America and trying to make it better. You have to recognize and acknowledge a problem before you can fix it. Ignoring it and criticizing someone who points out the problems does no one any good.

Because the Democrats aren't capable of action. To leave would require them to do something beside sit on their backside and complain about the Republicans.
