Well I am a housewife and I so know what you're talking about with the whole babysitting thing! People always tell me I should do at-home babysitting and I'm just like... uh, no thanks! Anyways, here are some of the things I do to keep busy:
- experiment with baking
- read, either at home or at the library
- go to the gym once a day
- go out for walks
- do correspondense courses for school
- take once a week religion classes (I'm muslim)
- do once a week volunteering at a local elementary school (but you can always do volunteer work anywhere else, like a hospital.)
- Do part-time work with my husband, in his at-home business

Get a hobby. No I'm not being facetious. Mine is collecting recipes. I'm putting them on 4x6 cards, indexing them, cross-referencing them, all kinds of good stuff to take up time. And sometimes, I actually use them. Take up reading. Learn to play the piano. Take dance lessons. Learn to sew, knit, crochet. Get a job as a critic for a soap opera magazine. If I could ever get to be a bored housewife, trust me, I'd find something to do.

If money is no issue, then it sounds to me that you should become a philanthropist, a socialite...You meet other people with money, go to dinner parties and get invited to all local celebrity events, meet politicians,( that within itself should be pretty entertaining). You can host, Monday Night Football parties. Even if you don't like football, it's still fun....take good care of yourself, since you have the time. Read a lot..fiction and non-fiction....

fins some hobbies that you might enjoy... take some pictures of people, animals, gardens, landscapes...etc...
learn to paint, arts and crafts, start writing a story, either fiction or non fiction, learn how to play piano, volunteer .....take a flower arrangement class, learn a language, learn to cook something new and fun, baking or make candy for gifts....make gift baskets, [Christmas gifts] take some course that interest you on line
check out yahoo games.. you might find a game you like....read some books that you always want to read...
take up dancing classes.................

volunteer your time. It is the greatest feeling ever. I think that everyone should volunteer at least 0ne hour a week to something. If we all gave that hour just think what a great place this would be.
