I went to work when my daughter was exactly 3 months old, and my twins were 15 months. I was completely exhausted. Many days I'd go to work with only having had 2 or 3 hours of sleep. I work as a housekeeper so there is no light duty on bad days like that. Once the baby started sleeping through the night it got better. Now that she's almost 10 months old I feel fine. I actually get MORE rest at work then staying home! But if I didn't HAVE to work I would stay home. I only work 3 9hour days a week because that's what we need to keep the bills paid and babies fed.
Good luck with the kids!

Its hard. Try throwing school in there too!. You have to say to yourself that priority is your children. My mom worked in an auto fatory production line she couldn't leave if I was sick, upset, or just to come by and have lunch every now and then. My mom worked hard, but when you sit in the nurses office for 4 hours with chicken pox until your mom gets off, it is hard. Make children a priority!!!! Make sure you find a daycare you can trust. It makes it easier to get through the day knowing your child is safe. Be very organized so that you don't miss a beat, getting two children ready for school before work is a job in its self! Good luck to you and I hope you enjoy you new arrival, new job and three year old : )

It's difficult, I work - I have a 7 month old and I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I'm always tired and feel like there is not enough hours in the day. I also, wouldn't have it any other way I was going crazy during my 6 week maternity leave. I hate being at home I get bored.

It's very difficult if you have a child that doesn't want to sleep through the night. And it's not easy dropping your helpless infant off at daycare. I cried for the few weeks after returning to work.

Dont worry you will be fine. I am a working momma and i am raising my son by myself with absolutely no help from his father and we are getting along just fine. Yeah sometimes I get tired and wish I could just stay home and do nothing for just one day but then I will be going crazy from being bored. And as for your baby, yeah, you will miss him or her but just think you are helping them by working because you will be providing things that they need. Everything will work out it is just the matter of getting into a routine everyday. I wish you the best of luck and congrats on the lil one.

My baby shrieked after a couple of hours a way from me. When I'd call home to check on him, it was horrifying to listen to. Thank goodness, he stayed strong in his demand for me. Cause the more important question is - what is it like to be that newborn?

It is not easy but if you have support (bf, husband, fam, ect.) it can be alot easier. When your tired its hard. But all those sweet precious moments with your child, makes it all worth it.
