Old myth and wives tale some still believe.
Kerry’s troop remarks belie the truth about the educational level of U.S. troops. According to figures readily available on the Internet, 99.9 percent of the enlisted forces have at least a high school education, 73.3 percent have some college, 16.2 percent have an associate’s degree or equivalent semester hours, and 4.7 have a bachelor’s degree.
What’s more, over 85 percent of field grade officers have advanced degrees – 70.7 percent have master’s degrees, 12.1 percent have professional degrees and 2.5 percent have doctorate degrees.

American Troops are intelligent, and certainley more inteligent than the asker of this question.
When asked whether it was beneficial to have a degree in engineering from the university of Melbourne, the asker of this question replied "dum question."
I know a lot of troops several with masters degrees in civil engineering. They all know how to spell dumb, even if they are not.
John Kerry was wrong, and so are you. I'm just glad you are not old enough to vote.

Say something wrong...probably. Say something stupid...most definitely!!
If the Democrats are really trying to show their support for the military regardless of their support (or lack thereof) of the war, how do they justify their support by saying that military personnel are stupid? Sorry, that just doesn't work!
And by the way, many military are working their way through college while in the military...so it is definitely not a question of their intelligence. Kerry totally f*cked up.

My brother served 20 years in the Navy . He was on a nuke sub & he started as a regular recruit & after 20 years he retired as a Captian. He joined right out of school, the University of Rhode Island. He had a B/S in english. When he retired he had a Masters Of Education. He got that while he was in the Navy. He in listed1969. I enlisted In 1961 right out of high school at 17. I was not old enough to have a draft card. I went in recruit (e-1) & retired a Sargent((e-8) So my self & 3 brothers were not dumb. One of my other brothers spent 4 tours of duty with the Marines in Nam. He got 4 Purple Hearts. My youngest brother was a crew chief on a B-27 Bomber. No we were not stupid just good americans who love our country. As for John Kerry, I have very little to say about him . My brother who was woinded4 times was never asked if he wanted to go home. I was wounded in the right ankle & I still have the bullet in me. No one ,asked me if I wanted to go home My three brothers & I have metals but we EARNED them ....Jc white10: THANK YOU. We don't need people like you. You sound like some of the prosters during the Vietnam War. Kerry is a minority (along with some other elitist) we are fighting a war in another part of the world to keep it from being fought on American soil!

That's a typical remark coming from a comrade of Kerry or madame Clinton . Real Americans know our soldiers are the heroes who keep America free . The likes of you & all the John Kerry's & Bill & Hillary Clinton's & Jane Fonda's aren't worth the spit from one of our brave men & women in the military .They are my heroes , not you bubba .

I don't think he meant it to be as harsh as it came out. I think his point was that if your best option for the future is the army, you're going to end up stuck in Iraq because they are never going to be able to leave! We all know that the recruiters go after the poor and under educated but there are some very smart people in the army, they end up with degrees in engineering and physics. But it's not the majority. I don't think he said anything wrong, I think he didn't phrase it well.

with out understanding what Dr. Christy pronounced approximately water vapor, it incredibly is not any longer common to nicely known if the deniers ought to do extra helpful. It appears like Christy conceded various key factors. My journey with expert witnesses is they are particularly unpredictable. You circulate over their testimony with them numerous situations previously trial, and yet while they get on the stand, each and everything they say is qualified and caveated to the factor all of it boils all the way down to approximately no longer something. you are able to circulate interior the process the transcript line by capacity of line, and what they pronounced in lines a million to fifteen is taken returned or qualified right into a nullity in lines a hundred thirty to one hundred forty five, and what they pronounced in lines 40 5 to 60 is caveated into nihil in lines 235 to 250. once you're executed with the diagnosis the best deal of the transcript cancels out another area and the internet residue and the rest is a enormous fat bowl of 0. They do take in various courtroom time nevertheless, and that they get exhilaration from being on the stand, and that they decide to place various biographical element into how they have been given to be so smart and expert. for that reason, panels of scientists are a extra helpful source of sturdy technology than are Courts. maximum judges are technology ninnies. So notwithstanding in the event that they do their very terrific, it incredibly is somewhat like concepts surgical operation with a wood spoon. Heisenberg noted the thought the form is replaced by capacity of the attitude of staring at it. So if we placed the electron on the witness stand and ask it the way it grew to develop into this manner of speedy electron, it provides and unreliable answer --- nicely it incredibly is the comparable with expert witnesses.

I believe that he did say something wrong by making that statement... NOT ALL SOLDIERS ARE STUPID... I mean, not every one off us are just people that couldn't get into college or anything like that... I could very well have gotten into college, but I wanted to support my country during it's time of need.. I cannot stand Kerry anyways, so by him making this statement just makes me even more mad....
